Home office capital gains
It has become more common for people to run their home business from the comfort of their family home. Generally, you can ignore a capital gain or loss you make when you sell your home or main residence (under the main residence exemption).
However, you don't get the full main residence exemption if your home is your principal place of business, although you're probably entitled to a partial exemption.

Recipe - Salt and peppered prawns with pineapple salsa |

Great for a summer barbeque!
- 800g green prawns, peeled leaving tail intact, deveined
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice
- Pinch ground white pepper
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 ripe pineapple, cored, peeled, finely chopped
- 1 long red chilli, seeded, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup coriander, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 avocado, stoned, peeled, finely chopped
